Governor’s stance on university issue is a mystery: Kodiyeri Balakrishnan

Thiruvananthapuram | CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the stand taken by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on the issue of university appointments in Kerala is mysterious. There is no circumstance in which the Governor should take such a position. The incumbent Chancellor has discretion. The Chancellor is not one to give in to any kind of pressure. He does not want a confrontation with the governor on this issue. This is an issue that needs to be discussed and resolved by the Governor and the Government. Kodiyeri said the government wants the governor to continue as chancellor.
