So the government said that it was the government’s pledge that if we run a government telecom company, then we should not depend on the technology and 5G means of China or any other foreign country under any circumstances. Therefore, the government was working on domestic indigenous 4G technology.
The government has set a deadline of 6 months
According to Scindia, under PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat, indigenous 4G stack, core system and tower, called Radiation Access Network (RAN), has been developed in India. This 4G network system will be made available across the country in the next 6 or 12 months. He said that India will soon launch indigenous 5G network. A lot of progress has been made in this matter.
The work of installing 4G mobile towers has started across the country. Also, Indian firms like Tejas Network, C-Dot and TCS are continuously working on this matter, so that BSNL can be set up on its indigenous 4G network. If the government is to be believed, 80 thousand towers will be installed by the end of October this year. Also, the remaining 21 thousand towers will be installed by March 2025. This means that one lakh towers will be installed by March 2025. This will increase the internet speed in the country. Video downloading and uploading speed will increase. People will be able to watch TV online.
5G will run on 4G core
The minister said that 5G can be used on 4G core. For this some changes have to be made in the tower, on which work is in progress. The government gave the budget
In the Union Budget 2024, the government has passed a budget of Rs 1.28 lakh crore. This budget will be spent on telecom projects and government telecom company BSNL. With its help, technology will be updated. In this, there is a plan to give about Rs 1 lakh crore to BSNL and MTNL. Rs 82,916 of the budget will be spent on BSNL technology upgrade. If the report is to be believed, Rs 1,28,915 crore has been given by the government in the financial year 2024-25. The same Rs 17 thousand crore will be received from the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF).
