A statement has been issued by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia regarding BSNL, which can bring happiness back to the faces of mobile users. In fact, the government has claimed that there has been an increase in the user base of BSNL. This means that there is a race to buy a new BSNL SIM or to port the SIM to BSNL. Whereas the situation was different till some time ago. Before the recharge plans of Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea became expensive, there was a continuous decline in the user base of BSNL. It is clear that users have started returning to the BSNL network. The figures are also testifying to this.

Government’s focus is on BSNL
The government is also very happy with the users returning to BSNL. Also, the government can get a big psychological boost about BSNL coming back on track. This is the reason why the government has planned to overhaul the government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited i.e. BSNL. This means that the government is thinking of making a big change in the old infrastructure, so that users get good network quality. This will keep the users connected with BSNL for a long time.

What is the government’s plan

According to the government’s plan, BSNL’s 4G network has been prepared. Also, the government has made a big claim that this 4G network can be converted into 5G as well. Talking to journalists, the minister said that they are making changes in BSNL’s network under PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said that BSNL’s indigenous 4G network is ready, which will be made available across the country in the next few months.

Let us tell you that for a long time people were asking on social media that when Airtel, Jio and Vodafone-Idea have rolled out 4G network, then why has Jio not rolled out 4G? So the government said that it was the government’s pledge that if we run a government telecom company, then we should not depend on the technology and 5G means of China or any other foreign country under any circumstances. Therefore, the government was working on domestic indigenous 4G technology.

The government has set a deadline of 6 months

According to Scindia, under PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat, indigenous 4G stack, core system and tower, called Radiation Access Network (RAN), has been developed in India. This 4G network system will be made available across the country in the next 6 or 12 months. He said that India will soon launch indigenous 5G network. A lot of progress has been made in this matter.

The work of installing 4G mobile towers has started across the country. Also, Indian firms like Tejas Network, C-Dot and TCS are continuously working on this matter, so that BSNL can be set up on its indigenous 4G network. If the government is to be believed, 80 thousand towers will be installed by the end of October this year. Also, the remaining 21 thousand towers will be installed by March 2025. This means that one lakh towers will be installed by March 2025. This will increase the internet speed in the country. Video downloading and uploading speed will increase. People will be able to watch TV online.

5G will run on 4G core

The minister said that 5G can be used on 4G core. For this some changes have to be made in the tower, on which work is in progress. In such a situation, the gift of 4G and 5G is going to be received in the coming days. Let us tell you that a tremendous environment has been created regarding BSNL. Mobile users are running a trend of boycotting expensive recharge plans on social media. A campaign to boycott Jio and Airtel has started. Along with this, people are talking of porting to BSNL. BSNL is getting tremendous benefit from this entire environment. If the government’s claim is to be believed, then an increase has been registered in the userbase of BSNL.

The government gave the budget

In the Union Budget 2024, the government has passed a budget of Rs 1.28 lakh crore. This budget will be spent on telecom projects and government telecom company BSNL. With its help, technology will be updated. In this, there is a plan to give about Rs 1 lakh crore to BSNL and MTNL. Rs 82,916 of the budget will be spent on BSNL technology upgrade. If the report is to be believed, Rs 1,28,915 crore has been given by the government in the financial year 2024-25. The same Rs 17 thousand crore will be received from the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF).
