Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 11th that it held a cheering event to attract Goyang Aerospace Science High School.
This event was held on the 8th to submit an application for a contest to host a Gyeonggi-type science high school, and Goyang City employees, the Goyang Office of Education, and Korea Aerospace University gathered together to support the hosting of Goyang Aerospace Science High School.
At the event, Korea Aerospace University President Heo Hee-young and Goyang Office of Education Superintendent Ko Hyo-soon attended the event and prayed for the establishment of Goyang Aerospace Science High School, holding a placard that read, “Goyang Aerospace Science High School, Opening the Future,” and delivered a message of support.
Korea Aerospace University President Huh Hee-young said, “Goyang Aerospace Science High School will become a specialized educational institution that nurtures creative and challenging talents who will lead the future of the aerospace industry.” He added, “Through cooperation with Goyang City, Korea Aerospace University will provide students with global opportunities.” “We will help you grow into a leader in the aerospace industry.”
Goyang Office of Education Superintendent Go Hyo-soon said, “Goyang Aerospace Science High School will not simply be a place to learn science, but a school that provides specialized curriculum linked to Goyang City’s high-tech industry.” “By designing an educational curriculum that reflects the latest trends and future technologies, we will provide an optimal learning environment where students can gain not only theory but also practice and field experience,” he emphasized.
Goyang City, Goyang Office of Education, and Korea Aerospace University plan to seek various ways to cooperate for the development of the city and strengthening national competitiveness as well as nurturing scientific talent in the aerospace field by attracting Goyang Aerospace Science High School.
Meanwhile, Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that it is actively promoting food waste disposal methods so that citizens can easily understand and put them into practice.
The city plans to produce leaflets on ‘The correct way to dispose of food waste’ and posters ‘How to dispose of food waste through door-to-door collection’ and distribute them to local residents through each ward’s administrative welfare center.
The leaflet contains information on how to dispose of food waste by region, an easily confusing food waste OX quiz, and a food waste reduction checklist so that residents can easily refer to it.
In particular, the posters produced this time will be distributed directly to each household and will also be attached to the common entrance doors of villas and multi-family houses. Through this, it is expected that residents will be encouraged to properly dispose of food waste at a designated place and time, thereby preventing unauthorized dumping and creating a comfortable residential environment.
An official from the Resource Circulation Department said, “Residents’ interest and participation are a great help in creating a clean local environment,” and added, “We will continue to promote and provide guidance so that residents are aware of the correct way to dispose of food waste.”
