Open until September 5th at the center hall on the first floor of Lotte Mall Eunpyeong Branch

Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that the Siksa-dong Gujegeori pop-up store, which was selected as a new business site for the ‘Gyeonggi-do Every Corner Tourism Theme Alley Development Project’, will be held at the Center Hall on the 1st floor of Lotte Mall Eunpyeong Branch from August 30 to September 5.

Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization’s ‘Gyeonggi Province’s Every Corner Tourism Theme Alley Development Project’ is a project to discover unique alleys in Gyeonggi Province, promote tourism competitiveness enhancement projects, and develop them into lifestyle tourism attractions.

From 2020 to 2023, 25 tourist theme alleys were selected, and this year, three alleys were selected, including Gujeong-ro in Siksa-dong, Goyang-si.

In particular, the city has been actively working to discover hidden tourist attractions, and has been selected as an alley for four consecutive years, including Goyang-dong Nolbitgoeul-gil in 2021, Jeongbalsan-dong Bamridan Bonnet-gil in 2022, and Samsong Graffiti Art Alley in 2023, making it the city with the largest number of ‘Gyeonggi Tourism Theme Alleys’.

The ‘Siksa-dong Rescue Street’ selected this year is an area with the largest concentration of rescue product stores in the country, and was recently introduced on a variety show, so it is a place that has become popular not only with wholesalers and enthusiasts, but also with general visitors.

In particular, with the spread of the recycling and reuse culture, interest in vintage stores where you can find a variety of vintage items such as clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories all at once is also increasing.

This pop-up store will sell a variety of carefully selected products from Guje Street at low prices, and discount coupons distributed to customers who purchase over a certain amount can be used during the Guje Street Alley Festival held in Siksa-dong on September 21st and 28th.

You can also experience a variety of things, such as vintage and self-photo zones, and you can also directly participate in events where you can bring in clothes you no longer wear from home and receive discounts or coupons while donating those clothes to places in need.

City officials said, “We hope that through this pop-up store, many people will learn about ‘Goyang-si Siksa-dong Gujegeori’ and visit Gujegeori to discover the charm of the alley.”
