In March, the Israeli musician released her industrial hip-hop album, “With The Incrowd”, produced by Gal Oved, with features from international artists such as Pink Siifu or Zeloopers alongside local artists. The music is designed and uncompromising and the show burns old assumptions with an impressive performance on stage. In addition to performances in Israel, in recent years Agat has established herself as an international artist with multiple performances at festivals and clubs in Europe. As part of international exposure, she previously managed to impress several senior officials in the international sector and to reach, among other things, the Lava Deva festival in Latvia.

The artist’s word: “I hope to make connections at the festival with industry people who will be interested in working together, either in the short term with booking for festivals/events that can be added to my performances in 2023, and also to create long-term connections that can be relevant over time. Rapper Goosh Dan and producer Itamar Levy are a modern hip-hop duo that creates hip-hop/soul/alternative that combines electronic beats and live music. The sound is American, the audacity is Israeli, and the desire is to break the classic hip-hop patterns by using different aesthetics, and sounds that are not common in this world.

The Artisan’s Word (Itamar Levy): “Since the release of the album, we have been performing around the country, currently preparing for the release of a new single and working on the next album. We will arrive at the festival intending to make connections with key people who will be able to help us spread ourselves overseas with the released album, and with the new materials that are going to be released very soon by booking inventions at festivals , and news and press in the relevant places. The goal is mainly to tune in to England and the USA, and enter the modern hip-hop scene that is gaining momentum around the world.”

For those who didn’t get to know Masok, they are a four-pronged neo-soul monster from Tel Aviv: Jenny Penkin (vocals/writing/composing), Nomuk (Noam Havkin, production/composing/arranging), Tal Kochavi (drums and symphonies) and Omari Shani (bass to its types). Together they released an album and an electronic EP in recent years under the beloved Raw Tapes label, and are about to release another album this winter. From ballads with a drum machine and dreamy synth to rhythmic songs with a live and kicking groove, alongside a fat pile of voices, it’s time to get on the helicopter.

The Artist’s Word (Jenny Pankin): “We want to perform in Japan, Germany and LA (name of the target audience), tours, festivals, etc. Besides, we would be happy to be signed by a label abroad.”

QUEENTA SET

A new super group of leading female jazz musicians in Israel. The ensemble, led by Chen Levy, was born out of the Queenta Woman Jazz Festival. Mixing different musical worlds that give the composition its unique sound. The composition places in the center the engagement with the text, the sanctification of the word and the emotion implied by it. The lineup includes only women, a matter that is not obvious, and the music that stems from this understanding tells a special and new story.

The artist’s statement (Chen Levy): “I have a great faith in this group whose communication and connection are exceptional and directly affect the music. I think it is only natural for us to perform abroad, so it is very gratifying that we are performing this year at the exposure. We will bring ourselves – the connection, listening, openness and respect for music and playing together.”

TAPASH

A Druze artist who previously founded the metal band Pufferfish with Nir Horowitz, and currently creates alternative hip-hop in Arabic and English with rock and metal influences, with lyrics that often deal with violence, greed, arms trade, loneliness and self- and environmental criticism. Together with Horowitz, Skippy on the drums and Spacekid on the synth and the computer, the three create a particularly kicking and energetic show.

The creator’s statement (Eyal Tapesh): “We want to see how far we can go with the project. My modest goal is to make a living from music, and in general, to make music that will be a reference for others to something fresh. I also dream of bringing a hook in Arabic that the whole world can sing. I would like to get mainly performances from the festival Abroad, maybe also aimed at some label. But mostly I want to leave the country with the project.”

An international exposure festival will be held from tomorrow (11/22) until next week (11/27) throughout Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. For complete details, a list of performances and tickets, if necessary (because some of the performances are free. Take advantage of it)
