Grameenphone tops weekly trade on DSE

In the outgoing week (11 to 15 August) in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the main capital market of the country, Grameenphone Limited, a company listed in the telecommunication sector, has come to the top of the transactions between companies and mutual funds.

This information was revealed on the basis of DSE’s weekly market review on Saturday (August 17).

According to the data, during the week, the average share of the company was traded at Rs. 100 crore 37 lakh, which was 7.83 percent of the total turnover of DSE. As a result, the company is at the top of the transaction.

BRAC Bank, ranked second in the list of transactions, traded an average of Tk 65 crore 24 lakh shares, which is 5.09 percent of the total transactions of DSE.

Third-ranked Square Pharmaceuticals saw an average share turnover of Rs 33.94 crore, which is 2.65 per cent of the total turnover on DSE.

Among other companies in the transaction list – British American Tobacco Tk 33 crore 45 lakh, Robi Aziata Tk 33 crore 21 lakh, IFIC Bank Tk 32 crore 3 lakh, City Bank Tk 28 crore 45 lakh, Techno Drugs Tk 22 crore 15 lakh, Unilever Consumer Tk 20 crore 97 lakh and shares of AB Bank worth Tk 19 crore 50 lakh were traded.
