Grameenphone tops weekly trade on DSE

In the outgoing week (18 to 22 August) in Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the main capital market of the country, Grameenphone Limited, a company listed in the telecommunication sector, has risen to the top of the transactions between companies and mutual funds.

Grameenphone tops weekly trade on DSE

This information was revealed on the basis of DSE’s weekly market review on Saturday (August 24).

During the week, the company’s shares traded on an average of Rs 57.69 crore, which was 9.24 percent of the total traded on the DSE. As a result, the company is at the top of the transaction.

BRAC Bank, which is ranked second in the list of transactions, has traded shares worth Tk 441 crore on an average, which is 7.05 percent of the total transactions of DSE.

Square Pharmaceuticals, ranked third, saw an average share turnover of Rs 28.26 crore, which is 4.53 per cent of the total turnover on the DSE.

Other companies in the transaction list include UCB Tk 21.5 crore, City Bank Tk 19.65 crore, BATBC Tk 18.78 crore, Olympic Industries Tk 16.35 crore, JMI Hospital Tk 12.83 crore, Robi Ajieta Tk 12.12 crore Tk and shares of Islami Bank Tk 9 crore 96 lakh were traded.
