Disappointed Antonio Puerto (La Liga)
Another great season in Spain ends, when the deciding round today (Sunday) in La Liga was fascinating and very critical in terms of the positions of the various teams in the table, and especially at the bottom. In focus – Granada were relegated after a disappointing 0-0 draw against Espanyol while Mallorca (0-2 at Osasuna) and Cadiz (0-1 at Alabs) survived with costly victories. In addition, Elche defeated Hattafa 1: 3.
Granada – Espanyol 0: 0
A Grande victory would have left it in the league and placed it above Cadiz and Mallorca, but the host failed to find the net against the Catalans and relegated to the Premier League at the end of a disappointing season for them. Veteran Jorge Molina could have been the hero in the 72nd minute, but missed Pendel and became the tragic hero of the drop. Granada in Segunda.
Osasuna – Mallorca 2: 0
Mallorca’s incredible rescue campaign has come to a sweet end. The visitors, who defeated Rayo Vallecano 1: 2 in the last round from a dramatic goal in the 92nd minute, once again did their duty from goals by Angel (47) and Kalman Grenier (83) and remained in the senior league for another season.
Alabs – Cadiz 1: 0

Choco Lucano prevailed and became the hero of the humble team that will play in La Liga next season as well.
Real Sociedad – Atletico Madrid 2: 1
The Colchoneros end a disappointing season with a sweet taste. After a first half that ended 0-0, Rodrigo de Paul arrived and in the 50th minute made it 0-1 for the visitors. In the 68th minute, Angel Correa with a beautiful finish doubled the result and deep in extra time, John Goridi shrank to 2: 1. Thanks to the victory Diego Simeone finished the season in third place, on the other hand, the Basques, who experienced a fantastic season opener but dropped as time went on, will settle for sixth place leading to the Europa League next season.
