Grandfather rescued from sewage canal in Coyoacán

Emergency services rescued an elderly man ⁤after‍ he fell​ into ⁤a sewage canal in the ⁣ Santa Catarina colony of the Coyoacan City ⁢Hall.

Officers from ⁤the Secretariat of Citizen Security ‍ (SSC) were patrolling the area​ when they received an alert about an ⁢elderly ⁢person⁢ who had fallen into a river on the street Vine.

“Upon arriving at the scene, the officers noticed a person at the bottom of the sewage canal, who was unable to move and was shouting for help. They requested ⁢support⁤ from emergency services,” the ‍agency‌ reported.

Using ropes, the⁣ rescuers reached the elderly man ⁤and brought ⁢him to the edge of ⁢the canal. Once⁣ outside, the ⁣paramedics diagnosed the 63-year-old ⁢man with various injuries but ​did not require hospitalization.
