A double scam attempt with the makeup of her niece who was injured in an accident it happened the other afternoon in Fiorenzuola and Piacenza.
In both cases the police arrived and the criminals narrowly escaped capture.
In the first episode, which occurred in the capital of Val d’Arda, an 80-year-old woman was contacted on the phone by a woman who pretended to be her granddaughter: the latter reported that she had been the victim of a road accident and was currently hospitalized. The woman then insistently asked the elderly woman for money, explaining that a person would arrive at the house to collect the sum. The octogenarian didn’t fall for it and the carabinieri were immediately alerted.
A similar episode occurred immediately afterwards in Piacenza, with scammers who followed the same scriptbut even in this case the targeted elderly woman did not fall into the trap.
