A group of six people, including Laura Sheppard (74), the daughter of Alan Shepherd, the first American astronaut to travel through Blue Origin, have returned from a trip to space.
Amazon founder Jep Bezos runs a space company called Blue Origin, which aims to take humans into space.
In that vein, Jez Bezos went into space last July aboard his company’s New Shepherd spacecraft. It was seen as a huge milestone.
At this point, a group of 6 people, including Laura Shepherd, returned from a trip to space by the company Blue Origin. The journey lasted about 10 minutes. The New Shepherd spacecraft traveled to an altitude of 100 km, after which it landed safely again.
Laura Shepherd’s father, Alan Shepherd, became the first U.S. astronaut to fly into space on a Mercury spacecraft from the state of Florida on May 5, 1961.
