Lovers of prepared salads, beware. Many Casino brand products were recalled Thursday for chemical contamination, the website informs Consumption reminder. A “descaling product” was detected “in the water”, he specifies.

Are affected by these recalls grated carrots, per jar of 300 g or 1 kgboxes of celery remoulade of 300 g as well as mixed vegetables of the same weight. All the products mentioned were sold in Casino, Vival, Spar stores and Casino distribution networks throughout France between October 27 and 31, 2023.

A possible refund

Conso Recall lists three possible behaviors to adopt if you have purchased one of these products: no longer consume it, return the product to the point of sale or simply destroy the product. Please note that it is also possible to be reimbursed for these products.

Another appetizer popular with the French, tabbouleh, is also remembered throughout the country. The 200 g trays of vegetable tabbouleh from the Bio Village brand, distributed in Leclerc stores, should no longer be consumed. Rappel Conso mentions a “risk of presence of residual chemical contaminants (silicates) used for the treatment of drinking water and which may have been in contact with the product”.
