The Fejér Medic Association held the presentation of the first certificate of selfless silent helpers, and we spoke with the president, Béla Rimán, about this. The association provides on-site health insurance for long-term damage cases on a voluntary basis with county disaster protection in cooperation.

Assistance certificates were handed out for the first time. What exactly does this entail?

– It was the handing over of certificates of selfless silent helpers, to be exact. The name shows what and why all those who deserved it got it. Of course, we could have distributed much more, but we will try to do so in the future. We want to create a tradition out of this.

How was the selection made?

“It was very difficult!” In the first round, I wanted to give it to the members of the association in recognition of their work, who have been helping the association with their volunteer activities for years, but while listing the possible candidates, I realized that there are still countless people who not only support our work from the outside, but also help others on a voluntary basis every day , that few people know all this, pretty much only their immediate loved ones and friends. That’s why I thought that those who do this definitely deserve a big thank you, because they do it all silently and selflessly. In addition to handing over the certificates, we also handed over a bottle of wine and honey thanks to Zsolt Küllő’s Winery and the Fogas Family Apiary. We also thank them for their selfless offer!

With what spirit did they accept the noble recognition?

– The recognition was received as a civilian, and also as a surprise. The word “thank you” means more here than anything else! They stood up with shining eyes and accepted the recognition. It was obvious that they did not expect that someone would thank them for their work. Of course, that is not why they do it, but their souls were filled with joy and love.
