In a festive atmosphere, the XXVII edition of the Athletic Race of the Lawyer and the Lawyer was held in Toluca, the fair organized by the Judiciary of the State of Mexico that this year extended to four municipalities, managed to convene about 3 thousand runners in the free category both branches that covered the distances of 5 and 10 kilometers, as well as the 20-kilometer cycling tour.
The lawyers’ sports festival began with the first date in Texcoco on June 17, then in Tlalnepantla on the 25th of the same month and Ecatepec on July 2 and the great closing in the Mexican capital on July 9.
Starting and finishing in front of the Palace of Justice in the center of Toluca, the first to start the route were the cyclists (who participated for the third consecutive year) at 6:30 a.m. in the 10 and 20 kilometers, at 8 :00 hours the competitors of the pedestrian test in the distances of 5 and 10 kilometers.

Live music motivated the participants who toured the main streets and avenues of the Mexican capital, but there were also musical groups installed at other points along the route (in front of the UAEMex Rectory building and the Toluca Sports Museum) to encourage athletes to give everything and complete the course.
Entire families, even with their pets, enjoyed the sports morning. The course was attractive but demanding, however experienced runners once again completed their distance without any problems.
Another attraction for runners is that they had the opportunity to share the route with great sports figures, including boxer Ibeth “La Roca” Zamora, WBC world champion, Juan Luis Barrios and Margarita Hernández, recent medalists in the event. of the half marathon in the Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador, as well as the Olympic marathon runner Arturo Malaquìas, among others.
The race route contemplated the roads of Independence, Ignacio Lopez Rayon, Sebastian Lerdo de Tejada, Andres Quintana Roo, Miguel Hidalgo, Jose Maria Morelos and Pavon, Columbus, Literary Institute, Paseo Tollocan, Vicente Villada, Nicolas Bravo.
The runners also covered Necromancer, Aquiles Serdán, before reaching the finish line in front of the Palace of Justice in the center of the Mexican capital.
Regarding the results, in the men’s 10-kilometer stellar test the top of the podium was occupied by Robert Gaitho and in the women’s Miriam González, in the men’s 5 kilometers Brayan Rodríguez was awarded first place and in the women’s Fernanda Medina Arambulo.
Margarita Hernández, silver medalist in the recent Central American and Caribbean Games, won the 5-kilometer test in the lawyers category, while Charito Chávez Sánchez prevailed in the 10-kilometer distance, finally Catarino Mendoza took first place in the men’s category. .
Ricardo Sodi Cuellar, president of the Superior Court of Justice of the State of Mexico, congratulated the lawyers from Mexico and highlighted the enthusiastic participation of the runners in yet another edition of the athletic fair.
“A very satisfactory event because there were close to 3,000 participants and that is something that generates a lot of joy, a good atmosphere, empathy, a good family life, they play sports, it is a virtuous circle, everyone leaves happy and they also come and know the judiciary,” he said.
He also highlighted the fact that this year more municipalities were reached, after an evaluation of the results in this edition it will be analyzed if the venues are maintained, and even others are reached.
