Our volleyball president Lyubomir Ganev, the president received yet another huge recognition.

Our legend earned the most votes for the new administrative boards of the world federation FIVB and the European confederation CEV.

All members from the Old Continent gathered at Castel Nuoevo Castle in Naples to elect the new president. Former Croatian volleyball player Roko Sikiric succeeded Serbian Aleksandar Boricic as CEV’s first. He received 36 out of 53 votes in the voting.

“It’s a huge responsibility for me,” said Sikirich. – Thank you very much for your support. I promise to do my best for the development of volleyball.”

Immediately afterwards, Ganev was elected with the most votes to the administrative board of CEV. The president of the BFW even received more support than the new president – ​​38 votes in the first round of the elections.

The CEV Congress continued with the election of the European representatives to the FIVB Administrative Board. There, too, Ganev was one of the candidates with the most votes. The World Headquarters Congress will be in November. Then the forum will only confirm the eight members of the Old Continent.

“It is a great honor for me to be a member of both boards – Ganev commented to the official website of BF Volleyball. – We all have to express a huge gratitude to Mr. Boricic for his work as president of CEV. Now a new chapter begins with Mr. n Sikirich.

A special guest in Naples was Dr. Ari Grassa, President of the FIVB.

The legendary Brazilian is visiting Sofia on the occasion of 100 years of volleyball in Bulgaria in 2022.
