Ratingen (dpa / lnw) – After the alleged assassination attempt on emergency services by an explosion in a Ratingen high-rise building, donations of 700,000 euros were received for the injured. The Ratinger fire brigade thanked on Wednesday for the wave of helpfulness from near and far. An ethics committee has now decided how the money will be paid to the nine seriously injured.

In the explosion near Düsseldorf, which is said to have been an assassination attempt, nine police officers and firefighters were seriously injured on May 11th. A 57-year-old Ratinger is said to have triggered the explosion when police officers and firefighters opened his apartment door during a routine operation. He is being investigated for nine counts of attempted murder. He is in custody.
