Greece is systematically working to expand the Southern Gas Corridor.

As Day.Az reported on Friday with reference to Trend, Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy of Greece Alexandra Sduku said this today, speaking at the plenary session within the framework of the 10th ministerial meeting within the framework of the Advisory Council of the Southern Gas Corridor and the 2nd ministerial meeting within the framework of the Green Energy Advisory Council in Baku.

She noted that the corridor, supplying more than 10 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan to Europe through Greece, has been fully operational for more than three years.

“Greece is systematically working to expand the SGC, on the one hand by supporting a doubling of TAP capacity by 2027, and on the other by creating or upgrading new export infrastructure such as the Alexandroupolis LNG terminal and pipelines to Bulgaria and North Macedonia,” she added.
