Greek media outlet reports opening of Allenby/King Hussein Bridge, thanks to Moroccan mediation
Athens – The Greek media outlet “The Diplomat” reported the uninterrupted opening of the Allenby/King Hussein border crossing, linking the West Bank and Jordan, thanks to direct mediation by Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The Israeli authorities have decided to open without interruption the King Hussein Bridge (Allenby Bridge), connecting the West Bank and Jordan thanks to direct mediation by Morocco and the United States, the newspaper writes, noting that the Moroccan-American mediation made it possible to reach an agreement for the permanent 24/7 opening of this crossing, which constitutes the only opening of the Palestinians to the world.
This mediation constitutes an eloquent testimony of the interest that HM the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has in the Palestinian cause and the well-being of the Palestinians, the publication observes, noting that the opening of the said border post, located approximately 50 km from the capital Amman, will be effective soon as soon as the logistical conditions are met, particularly in terms of human resources.
The Diplomat indicates, in this regard, that the opening of this crossing point, which is very frequented by Palestinians, will have beneficial repercussions on the daily lives of Palestinians and will facilitate the movement of people and goods.
