Less than half of Greek workers use tools artificial intelligence in their work with the guidance of their employers, while in the general set of countries where the workers make use of it GenAI in our country they are significantly fewer than the rest of the Europeans. In fact, 46% state that they still do not trust the reliability of AI tools for their professional requirements.

Adecco Group Research which aims to highlight the importance of AI at work, at a time when artificial intelligence is gaining ground every day and the digital transition is developing at a rapid pace, it shows that our country is significantly behind, but also that AI is creating new perspectives . It is no coincidence that in Adecco’s research, employees in Greece state that they feel that the quality of their work is improved by the use of AI tools, with the most popular justification being the ability they offer to immediately find and gather information, giving a resounding message for broad integration of artificial intelligence in work.

It is worth noting that 59% of respondents report that adding GenAI to their technology toolbox makes them more efficient, as it allows them to save time to focus on more important aspects of their work. Despite all this, 56% of respondents in our country consider the provision necessary education and guidance from the employer to gain more knowledge in the use of GenAI so that they are able to make the most of the new technology.

It is not surprising, therefore, that the need to become familiar with the use of artificial intelligence within the next decade is reduced to a significant component (80% of employees). In addition, 70% of respondents report that they intend to train, expanding their knowledge on the correct use of artificial intelligence tools, highlighting GenAI tools as a fundamental part of the daily experience of employees in the near future.

Of course, the human factor still, according to the research, holds a dominant role in the way it affects the work environment, as emotional intelligence (40%), empathy (34) are ranked higher than the use of GenAI at work %) and critical thinking (32%).
