Tijuana, BC- Within the framework of the “Dialogue on World Earth Day”, The Green Agents program was presented, a new initiative that seeks to inform and promote actions to counteract those that harm Tijuana’s environment.
The program will promote various actions to minimize environmental impact and raise awareness among the population about the importance of changing consumption habits to preserving the environment, said Alejandro Muñoz Gil, Director of Environmental Protection.
The president of the Environment, Sustainable Development and Health Commission, Marisol Hernández Sotelo, explained that “Green Agents” refers to an agent of change and a link committed to the environment, with the aim of achieving a responsible city with sustainable development and health, and creating a synergy between society, business and government, to build a sustainable city.
Problems suffered by the community in relation to the environment
He stressed that Agentes Verdes is the result of listening to different proposals headed by Tijuana residents, who are willing to make a difference and be uno change agent to transform the planet.

Roberto Gómez Campos pointed out that this plan of “Green Agents” it needs the collaboration of municipal, state and federal authorities, civil society organizations and all members of the community.
