The Council of Ministers, on Friday 19 March, approved the 32 billion Sostegni decree. Measures are foreseen to support employees, self-employed, temporary workers and seasonal workers affected by the crisis caused by Covid. The distribution of the aid will take place on the basis of 5 decreasing bands as turnover increases: a compensation of 60% for companies with turnover up to 100,000 euros, 50% for those between 100,000 and 400,000 euros, 40% between 400 thousand and 1 million, 30% between 1 and 5 million and, finally, 20% for those with a turnover between 5 and 10 million euros. The compensation (which cannot exceed 150 thousand euros) will be parameterized on the average of the monthly loss recorded in the comparison between 2020 and 2019 The absolute novelty concerns the criterion with which these aids are allocated: no longer on the basis of the Ateco codes. The Sostegni decree introduces aid to businesses and refreshments for VAT numbers. A one-off indemnity is provided for seasonal and entertainment workers (without VAT number) of 2,400 euros. Allocation of 350 million for the Coni Sport and Health club. Extension of the Covid redundancy fund: the measure can be requested by employers without the application of any additional contribution. The Cisoa for agricultural workers has also been extended, for a maximum duration of 120 days, to be used between 1 April and 31 December 2021.
