Sanctions from 400 to 1000 euros and closure for repeat offenders

Ansa / CorriereTv

On August 6, the Green Pass will become mandatory in Italy to access indoor venues and certain events. In particular, it will be required for indoor restaurants and bars (with table drinks), outdoor shows, spas, swimming pools, gyms, fairs, conferences and competitions. Anyone who enters one of these places without certification risks hefty fines and the same goes for business managers. The penalties for those who do not have the certificate of immunity from Covid-19 range from 400 to 1000 euros, both for the customer and for the operator. For these, in case of repeated violation three times on three different days, the exercise could be closed from 1 to 10 days. The owners or managers of the services and activities will verify access in compliance with the requirements. The checks will be carried out through the VerificationC19 app: by framing the QR code, you will get a green check if so or a red prohibition sign. The green pass lasts 9 months (270 days) from the date of issue in case of vaccination and 48 hours from the time of collection for those who undergo a swab. It is important to remember that in the event of a positive result of a person who has been vaccinated or already cured, the pass will be revoked.
