Hyderabad: In the 3rd T20 against Australia, India made a strong comeback after initially falling behind, but the visitors got a good score. After a brilliant start by Cameron Greene, the Aussies, who struggled in the middle overs, scored 186 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs thanks to Tim David’s finishing. Green scored 52 off 21 balls and David scored 54 off 27 balls. Axar Patel took three wickets for India.

What a beat Green!

From the first over, Cameron Green was seen struggling for the Aussies who lost the toss and went into bat. Skipper Aaron Finch scored 7 runs off 6 balls and was dismissed by Axar Patel. Green completed fifty in 19 balls. With this, Green owns the record for the fastest T20 fifty against India. When Green got out on the last ball of the fifth over bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the Aussie innings, he had 52 runs in his own name off 21 balls. Green hit seven fours and three sixes. Aussies score 66-2 in Powerplay. After that, Glenn Maxwell (6 off 11 balls) was dismissed by Axar Patel’s throw.

One and a half returns

Later, the Indian bowlers were seen coming back into the match very strongly. DK stumped Steve Smith in the second ball of the 10th over as he tried to tackle Chahal out of the crease. Smith scored just 9 runs off 10 balls. Josh Inglis returned with 24 off 22 balls in the 14th over bowled by Axar. In the same over, Axar did not allow Mathew Wade, the firework hero of the previous matches, to touch the ground. Wade is out on the return catch with 1 run off three balls. With this, Aksar got three wickets for 33 runs in the match.

But Tim David

Aussies score 140-6 after 17 overs. But later the story changed. Tim David and Daniel Sams brought the Aussies back into the game. The duo put on a 26-ball fifty partnership. India conceded 21 runs in the 17th over as Tim David hit Bhuvi for two consecutive sixes and a four. 18 runs were scored in Bumrah’s 19th over. Harshal hit the first ball of the 20th over for a six and David completed his fifty in 25 balls. David (54 off 27 balls) was out on the third ball. Sams and Cummins failed to shine in the next three balls. Sams remained unbeaten on 28* off 20 balls and Cummins did not open his account.
