Following the shooting, Noll fled on foot, prompting a widespread search, police said. State police blocked off Garrison Ridge Road as they searched the surrounding forest.
West Virginia State Police located Noll after he crossed the state line into Hundred, West Virginia, on Saturday, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Authorities say Noll was armed at the time of his apprehension.
Noll was taken into custody late Saturday afternoon after a caller reported seeing someone matching his description, police said.
Investigation and Charges
Noll will be held in police custody in West Virginia before being extradited to Pennsylvania, where he has been charged with homicide and attempted homicide, according to police.
“We used tracking dogs, we used helicopters, and we used police on foot searching rough terrain,” said Pennsylvania State Police Sergeant Richard Sizer. “Obviously, when you have someone on the run with a homicide warrant, on the run with a gun, it is a huge danger to the community.”
Sgt. Sizer also stated, “The fire departments here have been great, the West Virginia State Police, Pennsylvania State Police, multiple barracks within Troop B, have been outstanding, and their hard work has put this to an end.”
Police said Noll’s younger siblings were home at the time of the shooting, but the shooting occurred outside the home. The children are now in the custody of a family member.
