Australia secured the series by winning the first two matches. Mitchell Marsh’s team did not care about Scotland in the third and last T20 of the series. Australia won the series by 3-0 after defeating the Scottish by 6 wickets with 23 balls remaining thanks to Cameron Green’s all-round skills.

On Saturday (September 7), Scotland lost the toss and lost the wicket of Ollie Haires early on. Then George Munsey and Brendan McMullen tried to counter attack in the second wicket pair. Both added 34 runs off 20 balls.

Green brought Munse back in the last over of the power play. Munsey scored 25 runs off 17 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes. McMullen then kept the run wheel going. However, he did not get much help from the other side. Richie Berrington, Matthew Cross returned shortly.

McMullen scored his second consecutive fifty with one end in hand. He got out in the 17th over scoring 56 runs off 39 balls with 3 fours and a six. None of the rest scored big. The remaining eight batters could not step into the house of 20.

Green took the maximum 3 wickets for Australia. Aaron Hardy and Sean Abbott took 2 wickets each.

Australia lost the wicket of Jake Fraser-McGurk in the second over in a run chase. The young opener returned to the dressing room before opening the run book. Travis Head followed the same path shortly after. Head scored 12 runs before the out. Also, this opener completed 1000 runs in international T20.

Marsh and Green counter-attacked for the third wicket pair. The two made a partnership of 61 runs off 36 balls. Marsh returned in the tenth over. Marsh, who scored 31 off 23 balls, was bowled while pooling the ball from Jake Jarvis.

After that, Green formed another great pair with Tim David. David, who scored 25 runs off 14 balls with 2 fours and 1 six, got out very close to victory. Later, Green did the rest with Aaron Hardy. He left the field winning the team with an unbeaten innings of 62 runs off 39 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes.
