This Sunday evening (30), Grêmio won again in the Brazilian Championship. In Caxias do Sul, at the Centenário Stadium, Immortal beat Fluminense 1-0, with a goal from Gustavo Nunes.
With the victory, Renato Portaluppi’s team is still in the relegation zone of the national competition, but the position of Corinthians was found and now it is in 18th place, with 10 points gained. Timão, who is still facing Palmeiras, at Allianz Parque, this Monday (1) could defeat Grêmio, however.
On the other hand, Fluminense remains at the bottom of the Brazilian League. With only 6 points won in 39 games, the team, now coached by Marcão, suffered their sixth consecutive defeat in the competition.
The game
Back in Rio Grande do Sul, Grêmio started the game by pressing in pursuit of the goal. Immortal had good chances with Reinaldo, Gustavo Gomes and Edenilson, but Fábio and the Fluminense defense blocked the shots.
