The victim, of Tunisian nationality, had been found dead around 10 p.m. on the sidewalk in front of this establishment in a district located west of the city, “after being shot by a firearm”, the prosecution had indicated on day after the events.

An altercation may be linked to a debt

Originally, a possible altercation between the co-manager of the bar and the victim, which could be linked to a debt of money, specifies the Dauphiné Libéré. The shooting occurred while customers were still present on the spot: they then discreetly left the scene, leaving passers-by to help the victim.

Despite the arrival of the firefighters and the Samu on the spot, the man targeted by the shots could not be brought back to life. He had been hit by two shots, one of which was in the chest. He was known to the police, but for old offences.

The shopkeeper suspected of being the shooter immediately disappeared. After ten days during which he was wanted, he finally went to the police to give his version of the facts, always specifies Le Dauphiné Libéré.

The investigation was entrusted to the Grenoble judicial police service.
