Greta Thunberg: pledges from climate change policymakers – blah blah blah

by time news

Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg believes that statements by world leaders about plans to contain the climate crisis are beautiful words that did not lead to action. She called the approach of politicians to this issue “deliberate inaction.”

“Green Economy. Blah blah blah. Carbon neutrality by 2050. Blah blah blah … Words that sound great, but haven’t led to action yet. Our hopes and ambitions are drowned in their empty promises, ”The Guardian quotes an excerpt from Ms. Thunberg’s speech at the Youth4Climate youth environmental summit in Italy. “The willful inaction of our leaders is a betrayal of present and future generations,” she added.

Greta Thunberg – Time Magazine’s Person of the Year (2020), was nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize.
