In the third summer special of his TV show “Grill den Henssler”, the star chef himself became a hot eye-catcher on Sunday evening. Presenter Laura Wontorra (34) got big eyes when Steffen Henssler (50) unexpectedly flashed next to her. Bye-bye, chef’s jacket – hello, biceps!
At the open-air spectacle, the professional only had one opponent: comedy star Mario Barth (50). The laughter faded pretty quickly though. Because not only on the stove did the TV chef show his challenger where the frog has the curls. Henssler was also ahead in the showdown.

In the first challenge between the cooking rounds things got down to business. Henssler and Barth were each supposed to sit in a rubber dinghy, use it to navigate the defined circle of a river and paddle out the balls floating there with the paddle. Whoever did it first won. Great fun for Laura Wontorra. “Pensioners are paddling at Henssler today!”, the presenter amused.
The duel really got on the men’s arms. There was a bitter fight for every ball. In the end, Steffen Henssler won by a narrow margin. Barth got out of the boat with wet clothes and said to Wontorra: “I can hardly walk because the jeans are a bit sticky.” And Henssler’s chef’s jacket hadn’t stayed dry either.

While he was tinkering with the appetizer, a new jacket was brought to him. And what does the professional sizzler do? Don’t wait until the commercial break to get changed behind the scenes. Before Wontorra could count to three, Henssler had already peeled off the damp chef’s jacket. Presenter and audience were completely over the moon.

Because his impressively trained upper body came to light. Henssler even let the pectoral muscles twitch to the amusement of the spectators. Wontorra found a new use for his discarded chef’s jacket in no time. She called out to the audience in the stands with a wink: “So, who wants THEM now?”
Many viewers would have liked to rip the garment out of her hand. The presenter: “That’s my Backstreet Boys moment tonight.” Then she threw Henssler’s chef’s jacket into the crowd. A young woman grabbed it and could hardly believe her luck.

For Wontorra, the fun could have continued. She said jokingly to the star chef: “We’ll throw your pants into the audience later, right?”

Loudmouth from Hamburg versus Kodderschnauze from Berlin – a feast not just for TV viewers. Mario Barth had to nibble on the starter. On the menu: seafood on a skewer with grilled vegetables. A dish that the comedian didn’t like at all. The joker even hinted at a gag reflex. “It gives me goosebumps. I can’t eat it.” In the jury’s assessment, he was narrowly beaten by Henssler.

But his main course was a complete success. The aim was to conjure up souvlaki on the plate. Barth won the round. Juror Christian Rach (66) ennobled both sides. The star chef is enthusiastic: “I have never eaten so well in any restaurant.”
What the jury only found out after this walk: Both the comedian and Henssler were supported by prominent assistants on the show. Comedy colleague Ilka Bessin (51) cooked alongside Mario Barth. Henssler received support from Vox star Detlef Steves (54).
