“Grill den Henssler” with Mario Barth: Rach fools HIM – TV

by time news

With this rating, Henssler almost tore the hat cord.

An all-male duel awaited the viewers of “Grill den Henssler” on Sunday evening. TV chef Steffen Henssler (49) only had one opponent in this special: his buddy and comedian Mario Barth (49).

Presenter Laura Wontorra (33) sensed a true “testosterone tsunami”: “The duel of the alpha males, that’s what you can call it tonight.”

Neither of them had found out what was being cooked until the start of the show – Barth sounded towards Henssler: “That’s my golden heart because I just want to give you a chance.”

During the Corona pandemic, he had spent a lot of time serving dishes in his professional kitchen and felt he was a match for his opponent Henssler: “If I win this thing here, then I’ll run through Germany for a whole year and say : Did you see that? I would also give subscriptions to all my friends so they can see it in the media library.”

After preparing the starter “Beef soup with marrow dumplings and egg custard”, the comedian suddenly became very meek again after tasting his own dish: “It really sucks. It tastes really bad.”

However, the judges Christian Rach (64), Reiner Calmund (73) and Mirja Boes (50) still ensured a tie after the first round of cooking with their ratings. After the main course “Breaded chop with pointed cabbage and potatoes” Barth was even in the lead with 48 to 43 points – and Henssler saw his skins swimming away.

For the dessert “Quark balls with raspberry sauce”, he went to a lot of trouble and had a cola from Zivi Howan (21) brought to him for an extra boost of energy. Barth sensed suspicion – and a secret ingredient: “Is he trying to cheat with Cola?”

But Henssler didn’t seem to need it at all, he was absolutely in love with his own quark balls. Pulling it out of the oven, he boasted, “That’s the ten! Three times!” In his mind’s eye he already saw himself as a bestselling author: “Kick my ass. I’m making a dessert cookbook!”

However, Mario Barth was not at all happy about his result and tried to take his doubts with humor: “They are still soft inside. I have such a whole new procedure. Like a lava cake, still liquid on the inside.” Meanwhile, Henssler eagerly awaited exuberant praise from the jury, but star chef Christian Rach did not seem at all enthusiastic about his red plate: “The whole evening worries me. What can I say? The red plate was always trying …”

Henssler grabbed the anger, he shouted behind his wall: “Dude, you’re talking shit!” But Rach wasn’t finished yet – and continued to talk undeterred: “What should I say big about the red plate?! That’s a whopping ten points from me. Fluffy and light, nice dark crust all around, nicely worked with vanilla.”

Laura Wontorra had a lot of fun: “You fooled us all!” Steffen Henssler showed sincere remorse and apologized to the tough juror: “I take everything back.” Rach then even defended his love for Henssler’s dessert in front of Reiner Calmund , who only gave the plate seven points: “What do you have to complain about with the dumpling? You can’t make it any better!”

For Steffen Henssler, the quark balls with raspberry sauce tipped the scales to a narrow win. With 72 to 69 points he triumphed over Mario Barth and was allowed to place the “Grilled” stamp on his picture.
