Gromi, Frenkel, Barzali and Heruti qualified for the semifinals

The World Swimming Championships continued this morning (Thursday) for the sixth day with a 100-meter butterfly qualifier, and at the end we received good news at the end of particularly suspenseful and dramatic assignments. The four Israeli representatives, Tomer Frenkel, Gal Cohen Gromi, Aviv Barzali and Miron Heruti jumped into the water in a welcome pool in Budapest in order to qualify for the semifinals and were up to the task.

A successful morning show for the Israeli team at the World Swimming Championships, with no less than four different swimmers qualifying for the semifinals in the various ointments. The first to jump into the water were the two 100 butterfly swimmers – Gal Cohen Gromi and Tomer Frenkel. The 20-year-old Gromi climbed to the next stage from 14th place with a time of 51.96 seconds, while the 21-year-old Frenkel rose from 16th place with a time of 52.12 seconds. The semi-finals of both will be held tonight at 19:10 Israel time.

Immediately after them, Aviv Barzali also joined in the 200 backstroke ointment. The 20-year-old Barzali stopped the clocks in 2: 11.62 minutes and advanced to the semifinals for the first time in her career from 11th place. The spring semifinals will be held tonight at 19:21. Meron Heruti did it 4 out of 4 on the Israeli morning, when he set 22.07 seconds in the 50-meter freestyle and advanced to the third world semifinal in his career from 14th place. His semi-final will be held tonight at 7:42 p.m.

At the end of the show, the Israeli team jumped to the free 4X200 emissaries, consisting of Dennis Loktev, Bar Soloveitchik, Daniel Namir and Gal Cohen Gromi. The Israeli quartet finished in tenth place in a time of 7: 12.70 minutes. The intermediate times of the Israelis: Loktev with 1: 48.74 minutes, Soloveitchik with 1: 48.53 minutes, Namir with 1: 47.55 minutes and Gromi with 1: 47.88 minutes.
