A topographic efficiency of latest dance, entitled “Grounded up, within the sky”, is organized by the Dance College of the Municipality of Ioanniton on Saturday, June 15, at 7.30 pm, in Glykidon sq., in Kastro.
Three choreographers, Gina Vika, Eleonora Ilias and Laura Tsiati, make the most of the weather of the pure panorama, the structure and the energetic environment of the core of the historic middle of town (Citadel), to construction 5 episodes-images of dance, reworking the general public house in another dance scene.
18 feminine dancer-bodies dialogue with one another and with the panorama in an ephemeral situation, following the patterns of life itself and co-forming an summary narrative, choreographic construction. Can non-verbal – bodily photographs weave imaginative tales? And though our our bodies are grounded to the bottom, can we be freely “thrown” into the sky?
Dancing Margarita Giannakopoulou, Marianna Benaki, Danai Zorba, Christina Leontari, Fotini Chrysi, Eleni Mitrogianni, Zoe Ragou, Eva Mavromatis, Maria – Evangelia Davi Kallimani, Angeliki Karabela and Lydia Alexandri. The unique music is by Dimitris Karageorgos, the design of the printed materials by Ioanna Kolegioorgos and the images and the trailer by Kostis Emmanouilidis.
