Islamic extremism has terrorized Christians in different parts of the world, with some regions being more problematic than others. The Democratic Republic of Congo is one of them, and it was there that 30 followers of Jesus Christ were murdered, including 12 children.
The suspicion, according to information from the Open Doors organization, is that Christians were victims of an attempt by a group linked to the Islamic State.
The attack took place on the 24th in the city of Oicha, a region of Congo located in the province of North Kivu. A local Christian witnessed the attack and told details about the moment of terror.

Open Doors collaborators fear that due to the context of oppression, some will start to doubt their own faith. “They are losing hope,” said the organization’s informant, who was not identified for security reasons.
