Are you ready for a bigger task? The Police Authority of Sweden is seeking motivated individuals to take on the role of group manager in the Stockholm region. The Police Authority is the largest authority in Sweden, with approximately 38,000 employees and is organized into seven police regions, a number of national departments, and an office.

Region Stockholm, which consists of Stockholm County and Gotland, is currently looking to fill positions for group managers in four local police areas: Södra Roslagen, Järva, Järfälla, and Vällingby.

The role of a group manager within the police force is vital as it involves leading the daily operations based on decided priorities and providing guidance and support to employees. Group managers will also be responsible for personnel and work environment, as well as carrying out development and salary interviews for their team. In addition, group managers will be involved in the agency’s change and development work and will represent the Police Authority both internally and externally.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have at least 6 months of continuous experience of having worked as a supervisor, project manager, or similar in the last five years, as well as a police degree. Experience in change and development work, leadership training, and collaborating with social actors outside the police organization is also desirable.

The Police Authority places great emphasis on personal qualities and leadership skills when selecting candidates. The basis for the assessment is the Police Authority’s leadership criteria, which include abilities such as analysis, holistic view, goals and results, development and change, social security, and oral and written communication.
