In the 61st minute, a Martinique player committed a foul inside the box, resulting in a penalty in Guatemala’s favor. José Carlos Pinto was in charge of taking the penalty. Pinto showed great confidence and executed the penalty accurately. With this goal, Guatemala regained the lead, placing the score at 2-1.
The Martinique team had the opportunity to tie the score again with a penalty in their favor, but Guatemalan goalkeeper Nicholas Hagen managed to stop the shot.
