In an exclusive interview with RFI, the player and his father Alessandro explained to us how the journey has been until today in Spanish territory.

Born in Angra dos Reis, in Rio de Janeiro, Gui’s talent awoke when he was 5 years old. The father, Alessandro, ended up sending his son to the futsal school of former Botafogo player Batata, where he played three categories above his age.
After two years, the family decided to leave Brazil where they were experiencing many difficulties. Alessandro suggested that the family move to Europe, eventually settling in Portugal.in the city of Guimarães, in 2017.
In that city, some Brazilians played for the local team, Vitória de Guimarães: Davidson, Dodô and Mattheus (ndr: son of Bebeto). They received a lot of help from Davidson who took them to live in the house for a month and a half, he who also found a job for Alessandro.
About the Gui joined the base team of Vitória de Guimarães, where he began to attract attention. Gui ended up leaving Vitória for Sporting de Braga, a rival club. In the first season in Braga, in 2019, Gui scored 87 goals in four months, only playing friendlies and tournaments due to lack of documentation. It was at this time that he became an Adidas figure, the youngest player ever to sign for the brand.
After this passage through Minho, several clubs tried to attract the young footballer such as FC Porto, Atlético Madrid or Real Madrid where they received proposals.
The family decided to move to Madrid in 2020. However, in Spain, the issue of documentation is much stricter than in Portugal.
After several requests, the situation was resolved when Gui signed for Sports Agency, which presented a project that involves representing Valladolid’s youth teama club whose owner is the Brazilian Ronaldo, until at least the age of 16 and trying to make his debut for the first team.
The dream is to represent a team like Real Madrid or even other clubs that have already harassed him like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, or even the big three of Portugal – SL Benfica, FC Porto and Sporting CP.
