Recruitment notice for the position of: Project Director (M/F).

As a prelude to the launch of a major project (IGH), Guicopres BTP, a subsidiary of the GUICOPRES Group, assisted by a local firm, is recruiting a Project Director.

•𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐮 𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐞𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐫é𝐞 𝐝𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭:

The position, based in Conakry, Guinea, is to be filled in June 2024.
A candidate with high potential will be offered, to begin with, a two-year contract with an attractive salary and advantageous working conditions.

𝟭/ 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

Under the authority of the General Building Management, the Project Director responsible for supervising Major Projects has the essential mission of:
-Ensure coordination between the different stakeholders (Consultants, Architect, BET, BCT, Fire Safety Office and others, etc.);
-Coordinate the activities of operational/site teams (engineers, work supervisors, technicians and team leaders);
-Ensure rigorous monitoring, until approval of the execution documents; -Ensure fluid communication between the different stakeholders – parties
project stakeholders – including subcontractors and clients;
-Organize work coordination meetings and prepare reports;
-Carry out regular reporting for information of your hierarchy, on the progress of the work and on the control of budget forecasts;
-Study and process all contractual documents relating to construction sites; -Validate operating methods based on execution studies, define plans
load (human and material resources);
-Develop detailed work plans, monitor site progress and try to resolve problems that may arise during the construction phase;
-Establish general work schedules;
-Implement corrective actions in the event of a discrepancy with the schedule;

-Initiate purchasing consultations with the approval of your hierarchy;
-Control the workforce in line with the needs of the construction sites;
-Coordinate on site and by zone the interventions of subcontracting companies;
-Check the statements before submitting them to your hierarchy for approval;
-Manage risks (non-compliance, dangerous situations, accidents and incidents);
-Monitor construction costs in line with approved budgets;
-Guarantee the proper application of contracts and possible amendments, settle the
disputes;
-Ensure compliance with budgets, deadlines and quality standards of works;
-Lead and motivate field teams for their full involvement at work;
-Ensure compliance with environmental, quality and safety standards;
-Ensure that any reservations expressed at any stage of the work are lifted;

𝟮/ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹:

-Male or Female, holder of a Bac+5 degree in Civil Engineering.
-Have 5 years of experience as a Major Projects Director in the field of building construction.
-Master management and project management tools
-Master civil engineering software as well as basic office software
-Have the proven ability to successfully manage projects simultaneously.
-Have a perfect knowledge of the regulations and standards of use in the Building sector;
-Ability for transversal and hierarchical management of teams; -English, especially technical, is an asset.
