INFORMATION MAY BE MISCELLANEOUS – The reporter succeeded Fabien Namias, leaving for BFMTV.

LCI has found a new boss. According to our information, the group’s news channel TF1 has appointed an in-house journalist, Guillaume Debré, to take over the director general position vacated by Fabien Namias. At the end of July, the latter created a surprise by deciding to leave LCI to join its direct competitor BFMTV, in order to succeed Marc-Olivier Fogiel, general director of the channel for five years.

With a law degree, a graduate of Science Po Paris and a master’s degree in international relations from Columbia University in New York, Guillaume Debré is a news figure well known to TF1 teams and viewers. Joining the team in 2005, he was a correspondent for TF1 and LCI in Washington and mainly covered the election of Barack Obama. Former chief reporter for TF1, he covered the Syrian war and the attacks on Charlie Hebdo and Hyper Cacher in 2015.
