The road continues to cause mourning in Guinea. The sad news fell this Monday morning, a traffic accident occurred around 1 am, in the area of Saloya, located between the sub-prefectures of Marela and Kalia, in the prefecture of Faranah, we learn from official sources.
According to a press release from the junta government, a refrigerated vehicle carrying bags of rice and passengers overturned, killing 13 people, including 10 women and 3 men. The injured were immediately treated and admitted to the Marela health center to receive the necessary emergency treatment.
The initial information gathered by the local authorities indicates that the cause of the accident was excessive speed, allegedly driving the truck into a ravine.
