The official opening of the Conakry“>Mohammed VI Mosque of Conakry took place in the presence of the Prime Minister, head of government of the Republic of Guinea, Amadou Oury Bah, the president of the National Transition Council of Guinea, Dansa Kourouma, the minister of National Defense, Aboubacar Sidiki Camara, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Guineans established abroad, Morissada Kouyaté, and the Secretary General of Religious Affairs of Guinea, Karamo Diawara.

The opening of this religious building took place in the presence also of a delegation from the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ouléma, led by its Secretary General, Mohamed Rifki, the Moroccan ambassador to Guinea, Isam Taïb, the president of the Foundation’s section in Guinea, Abdelkarim Dioubate, and eminent Moroccan and Guinean personalities.

During the Friday prayer at the Mohammed VI Mosque in Conakry, the Preach was delivered by the representative of the Moroccan Superior Council of Ulemas.

The Mohammed VI Mosque of Conakry, whose work was kicked off by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al Mouminine, may God assist him, on February 24, 2017, was built according to authentic Moroccan architectural standards , with a capacity to accommodate more than 3,000 faithful, over an area of ​​one hectare.

This religious monument consists of a large prayer hall, a conference room, a library, a Koranic school, a commercial space, an administrative department and green spaces.

The construction of the Mohammed VI Mosque of Conakry aims to celebrate Prayers, teach the Holy Quran and disseminate Wisdom, as part of the fraternal relationship between the Guinean people and the Moroccan people, the aim being to benefit the Republic of Guinea of Moroccan experience and expertise in the management of the religious field and the promotion of religious values ​​of tolerance, solidarity and dialogue, on the basis of the common religious constants between the two brotherly countries.

On the sidelines of the official opening ceremony of the Mohammed VI Mosque of Conakry, and as part of its charitable social activities, the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema, in perfect coordination with its Section in Conakry and the General Secretariat of Affairs religious, will ensure the distribution of more than 1,000 baskets.

This action aims to establish the values ​​of humanity, solidarity and mutual aid within Guinean society, in accordance with the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, President of the Mohammed VI Foundation African Ulema.

At the same time, the embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Conakry, with the participation of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema, is organizing an official Iftar ceremony within the Mohammed VI Mosque of Conakry, in honor of the authorities Guinean religious officials and diplomatic representations accredited in the Republic of Guinea.
