Bad times for the Guinean media. Restrictions, summons or suspension, the men at the microphone are used to it. This Thursday, two journalists from the Évasion press group were suspended by the High Authority of Communication (HAC).
In this decision, the regulator suspended the General Director of the EVASION Guinea Group and his co-host of the show “CONAKRY SOMADALA”, Laye Mady Kouyaté and Adèle HABA for a period of 45 days from Thursday November 23, 2023 for acts of “defamation, insults and complicity in these crimes” against the Public Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Siguiri, Mr. Amadou Kindy Baldé.
The latest press problems were the restriction of the Guinea morning site. This latter media was reinstated following pressure from the entire corporation.
