The Guinean Football Federation (FGF) informs the public, Syli National supporters, and all partners that the collaboration with the coach of the Syli A national team, Mr. Kaba Diawara, as well as with his entire technical staff has been terminated.

This decision was taken due to the failure to achieve the sporting objectives that had been contractually set.

The objective initially assigned to the outgoing staff was to advance the Syli National A among the top 10 African nations in the FIFA rankings during a two-year evaluation period.
Unfortunately, this goal was not achieved, leading to the need for a strategic reorientation.
To ensure an effective transition and ensure continuity in the preparation of upcoming deadlines, it was decided to set up a transitional board of directors responsible for the technical management of Syli A.
This board will be in place until at least November 2024, the period corresponding to the end of qualifications for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).

This board will be placed under the supervision of the National Technical Director (DTN) and will be coordinated by Mr. Michel Dussuyer, former coach of the Syli National, recognized for his great experience and his reputation in the world of football.
His in-depth knowledge of African football and his past experience at the helm of the national team constitute a major asset for this transitional period.

The board of directors will also include Mr. Charles Paquille, former assistant to the national coach, who will assume the role of coach.
His proximity to the players and his understanding of the team’s internal dynamics will be crucial in maintaining team cohesion and performance.
Mr. Souleymane Camara, current coach of the Syli local players, will also be part of this board as assistant to Mr. Charles Paquille, bringing his expertise and knowledge of local talents, which will further strengthen the link between players playing abroad and those in the country.
The Guinean Football Federation is convinced that this transitional board will be able to maximize the potential of the talents present within our selection, while breathing new momentum that is essential to achieve the ambitious sporting objectives that we have set for ourselves.

We call on all supporters and partners to support this new team in its mission to lead the Syli National to new heights.

For the Guinean Football Federation

President
Aboubacar SAMPIL
