New Delhi: While it was reported that the date of Gujarat assembly elections will be announced on Thursday, the BJP has reacted to the comment made by the Congress party through the three monkeys emoji.

The date of the much-anticipated Gujarat Legislative Assembly election was announced on Thursday (Nov 3) at 12 noon. It has been announced that the election will be held in two phases on December 1 and 5.

Before the news of this was released, the Congress on its official Twitter account had tweeted, “The Election Commission of India is an arbitrary organization that can conduct fair elections by posting three monkey emojis: See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil.”

BJP has reacted strongly to this mockery of Congress. Responding to this, BJP’s spokesperson Shesad Poonawalla said, “Even before announcing the election date, the Congress party has started the work to save Rahul Gandhi.” Tagging the Congress party’s tweet, he said on his Twitter page, “Congress party has started its usual style of fear of defeat even before the election date is announced. Because Rahul Gandhi needs to be saved.”
