In it, Himachal Chief Minister Jairam Thakur defeated the Congress candidate Seth Ram who contested against him in Seraj constituency by a margin of more than 22 thousand votes. 57-year-old Thakur won for the 6th time.

In Himachal for the past 40 years, he has never won again. Hence, BJP Chief Minister Jairam Thakur is fighting hard to regain power. In this constituency, after the Congress Party, the Marxist Communist Party and the Aam Aadmi Party are at the 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
Similarly, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel won the Katlodia constituency. Bhupendra Patel defeated the Congress candidate by a margin of more than 50 thousand votes. In particular, he got 80.86 percent of the votes cast in that constituency. The Congress candidate got only 9.81 percent. Aam Aadmi Party is in third position with 6.67 votes.
With the BJP leading in Gujarat, it looks like they will rule for the 7th time in a row. As far as Himachal is concerned, we have to wait for the full details to come out as the competition is fierce.
