Gujarat Titans have to wait for the play-offs; Mumbai Indians won by five runs

Mumbai Indians beat Gujarat Titans in IPL Mumbai won by five runs at the Brabourne Stadium. Mumbai lost the toss and opted to bat, scoring 177 for six in the allotted overs. In reply, Gujarat scored 172 for five in 20 overs. For Mumbai, Murugan Ashwin took two wickets. With the defeat, Gujarat’s chances of a delay were delayed.

Wriddhiman Saha (55) and Shubhman Gill (52) were the only Gujarat batsmen to shine. Both added 106 runs for the first wicket. But none of the latter were able to put out a good performance. Hardik Pandya (24), Sai Sudarshan (14) and Rahul Thewatia (3) were the other notable contributors. David Miller (19) and Rashid Khan (1) were not out. Murugan Ashwin took two wickets for Mumbai.

Earlier, Ishant Kishan (45 off 29 balls), Rohit Sharma (43 off 28 balls) and Tim David (44 not out) were the top scorers for Mumbai. Suryakumar Yadav (13), Tilak Verma (21), Kieron Pollard (4) and Daniel Sams (0) are the other outfielders. Ashwin (0) remained unbeaten. Rashid Khan took two wickets.

Earlier, Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to field. Gujarat is coming down unchanged. Mumbai made a change. Hrithik Roshan has been replaced by Murugan Ashwin.
