Abu Dhabi – The heads of the Gulf and Arab states joined hands in brotherhood and met in Abu Dhabi. The heads of state of Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan and Egypt attended the friendly meeting at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The leaders were writing a new chapter in ensuring peace and stability in the region by strengthening friendship and development. Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Abdel Fattah Sisi of Egypt interacted with Sheikh Mohammed at the St. Regis on Saadiyat Island.
The leaders also said that friendship between nations will increase stability and prosperity in the region. Regional and international issues and challenges facing the political, economic and security sectors were discussed. The leaders called for coordination of positions and joint action to ensure the sustainable future of the region.
Sheikh Mohammed called for strengthening cooperation and economic partnership to achieve development and ensure a better future for the people in a turbulent world.
It was also discussed about connecting 5 Arab countries in a friendly association.
