Muscat: The Royal Oman Police have arrested 22 expatriates for trying to enter Oman illegally. They were arrested by Coast Guard police in the governorates of South and North Al Batinah.

Two intruders who arrived in a boat were also caught. 30 crystal-shaped drugs and 10 hashish molds were seized from them. The Royal Oman Police said it had completed legal proceedings against the detainees.

Authorities seize five fishing boats in Oman

Muscat: Oman’s Directorate of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources have seized five fishing boats for allegedly violating the law. The incident took place in the governorate of Al Wusta the previous day.

Directorate officials said the action was taken for violating the country’s fisheries laws. The crew on the boats did not have licenses. Authorities also found that they had violated fishing distances. Authorities said in a statement that legal action was being taken against those arrested.
