Muscat: Oman’s Directorate of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources have seized five fishing boats for allegedly violating the law. The incident took place in the governorate of Al Wusta the previous day.

Directorate officials said the action was taken for violating the country’s fisheries laws. The crew on the boats did not have licenses. Authorities also found that they had violated fishing distances. Authorities said in a statement that legal action was being taken against those arrested.

A taxi driver was robbed of his money by three teenagers
Kuwait City: An expatriate taxi driver in Kuwait has been accused of stealing money and a mobile phone (Theft). According to a complaint lodged with the police by a driver who lost money, three teenagers committed the theft in Hawalli Governorate.

The complaint was lodged by the driver of the vehicle which brought the three persons from Sharq to Salwa area. According to the driver, they got out of the vehicle and snatched his purse and mobile phone. Police investigating the incident have identified the three children. According to local media reports, the prosecution has ordered their arrest.
