Dubai: The total number of visitors to the Saudi Arabia pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has crossed one million. This is more than 30% of the total visitors of the Expo. Visitors include dignitaries from various countries, including senior diplomats.

For the first time in the history of the Expo, so many visitors came to a pavilion in 49 days. The Saudi pavilion currently holds the Guinness World Record for the largest interactive lighted floor, the tallest interactive water curtain and the largest mirror with an interactive digital screen. The largest pavilion after the UAE is owned by Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has applied to host the World Expo 2030

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has expressed its willingness and interest to host the 2030 World Trade Fair (world expo). The International Exposition Organizing Bureau (BAEE) has officially submitted its application for the opportunity to host the World Expo 2030 in Riyadh. Saudi Arabia has requested that the fair be held from October 1 to April 1, 2031, under the theme ‘Age of Change: Our Planets Lead to the Future’.

The letter was sent by Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission of Riyadh, Amir Mohammed Bin Salman, to Dmitry Kirkens, Secretary-General of the International Expositions Bureau. In the letter, the Crown Prince noted that Saudi Arabia has the ability and commitment to conduct the historic edition of the International Expo with the highest level of innovation and to provide an unprecedented global experience in history.
