Gulf Oil Company announces the return of a well in the Sarir field to production

The Arabian Gulf Oil Company announced, “The return of well C-335 in the Sarir field to production after a successful maintenance operation.”

The company said in a statement on its official Facebook page: “The well had been closed since 2022 due to missing equipment inside the well. Thanks to God and the efforts of the company’s dedicated work team, the company was able to carry out maintenance, retrieve the missing equipment, and carry out the necessary treatment of the productive layers.”

The company’s statement added: “After completing the maintenance process, a productivity test was conducted, and the results showed that oil production was: 2,500 barrels of oil per day, and the water content was 7%.”

Ahmed El-Tayeb El-Majdoub, Member of the Management Committee for Exploration, Production and Information, said: “We appreciate the efforts of the work team to successfully complete this task, and we affirm the commitment of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company to do its utmost to enhance production and achieve maximum benefit from its resources.”
